At the Neverworld

We built our temporary homes with fairy lights

And slept down on the damp earth

Cuddling on to expectation, we weaved our cocoons out of hope, sweat and glitter

And then we burst out into the sun

Awakened by the dew

Dressed by a thousand rainbows, we put on our new faces

Ready for the transformation

We danced. And we merged into time, fully formed moths defying the bright lights

Defying the darkness
