Maybe so, maybe we are so flawed that it is time for a different type of intelligent species to emerge on this planet. According to Professor Cox on the brilliant BBC series The Planets, we owe our existence to a chance event, the asteroid collision that wiped out Dinosaurs, two thirds of species on the planet, and cleared the way for a mouse-like little critter to develop into modern Humans. We are literally not supposed to be here right now, and perhaps it was a mistake. We took over from the Dinosaurs. Maybe its time for someone to take over from us.
