The Planet wants us Gone

A Poem

Rolling in agony on its axis

the Earth can’t sleep

It’s having a fever

cranking up the thermostat

desperate to rid itself of germs

As trillions of voices scream

from the mountaintops

deep in the oceans

and under the ground

It’s a war

extinction of the weakest

the last resort

the only hope

that they will go
